Amazon’s Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice remote has seen its price culled this week, with a whopping 38% reduction bringing it down to just £25. Amazon’s HD streaming device has an RRP of £40, and while its price tag often gets trimmed during Amazon sales (think in the £30 region), this is a particularly notable price slash.

The device in question is the latest model in Amazon’s Fire TV Stick Range, boasting, Amazon purports, 50% more power than its 2019 predecessor and coming equipped with Alexa Voice remote, in addition to tangible power, mute and volume control buttons on the physical remote. It offers access to thousands of apps, including family favourites such as BBC iPlayer, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Netflix – perfect if you’re planning to watch Jubilee coverage, dodge the crowds this Bank Holiday, or just recover from the hangover that only a four-day weekend can elicit.

In our full-length Amazon Fire TV Stick review, we gave the device a highly commendable four stars, praising in particular its bolstered performance from previous iterations, its fully featured Alexa remote and its support for Dolby Atmos and HDR. That’s a lot of power packed into a £25 device. What’s more, as of December 2020, Sky and Amazon embarked on a partnership that has brought Now TV to Fire devices, so Now TV customers will be able to download the app and avail themselves of that Sky goodness, which they were previously precluded from doing.

This model of Fire TV Stick is situated in between its younger sibling, the Fire TV Stick Lite, and its bigger brother, the Fire TV Stick 4K. But with the former ringing in at £23 and the latter at £50, this £25 steal for the intermediate model is an excellent shout for a wealth of content plus Alexa, HDR and Dolby Atmos support and the ever-handy tangible control buttons the Fire TV Stick provides.

It should be noted that the Fire TV Stick has flogged for cheaper before – CamelCamelCamel tells us it once retailed at £20 – but this is a stellar deal nonetheless, and just in time for a leisurely four-day weekend. What’s not love?
